JANG, Jan 23: Health check-ups, registration for old age pension, awareness campaigns on EVM, VVPAT etc were organized at Shyaro village under Lhou circle of Tawang district on Wednesday as part of the Sarkar Aapke Dwar camp and Jan Sunwai Sammelan.
In his inaugural address, Tawang EAC Sang Khandu asked the villagers to come forward with their grievances, if any, in the camp. He also appealed to the villagers to ask the departments concerned and its officers about various welfare schemes under their departments and ways to avail them.
He also felicitated the school toppers of upper primary school Shyaro and handed over school science kits and a microscope to the teacher-in-charge.
Later, Khandu and officers from the Education and Health departments visited the upper primary school’s hostel and kitchen, which is being run by the villagers.
He also distributed free vegetable and crop seeds to the villagers on the occasion. (DIPRO)
