RUPA, Jan 24: The Bomdila unit of the field outreach bureau (FOB) organized a ‘special outreach programme on Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY)’ here in West Kameng district on Thursday, in collaboration with the National Health Mission.
Addressing the participants, Bomdila FOB head Pem Tsering said the PMJAY provides an annual cashless financial cover of upto Rs 5 lakhs per family for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization for vulnerable families at public and empanelled hospitals.
Rupa CHC SMO Dr HM Devi said the PMJAY aims to reduce the financial burden on poor and vulnerable groups and ensure their access to quality health services.
“Every family under the socio economic caste census database will be entitled to claim the benefit,” she added.
Singchung PHC SMO Dr T Droima informed that “each empanelled hospital will have an ayushman mitra help desk” where prospective beneficiaries can get information about their eligibility and enrollment.
Rupa GB Nima Thongchi also spoke.
The programme included an awareness rally, a quiz competition and rural sports competitions.
