Govt approves tough location allowance for employees

ITANAGAR, Jan 30: The State Cabinet has approved the grant of tough location allowance (TLA) for regular employees as per the recommendation of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) and the hike in wages of contingency employees.
With this, the employees will draw higher salaries and wages from this month onwards.
Earlier this month, Chief Minister Pema Khandu had, in public functions in various locations, announced the same as a ‘New Year gift’.
Pema had announced to grant TLA for regular employees in two levels – pay matrix level 9 and above with Rs 5300 and level 8 and below with Rs 4100.
He had also announced for enhancement of the minimum wages of skilled and unskilled contingency employees, casual workers, daily labourers and ALCs employed under the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
The initial wages on appointment of the un-skilled contingent employee, casual worker and daily labourer has been enhanced from Rs 8,000 per month to Rs 10,000 per month and from Rs 9,000 per month to Rs 11,000 per month for skilled contingent employees/casual workers/daily labourers. (PRO, CM)
