AALO, Jan 30: A national seminar, themed ‘Innovative and Improved Cropping Pattern, Cropping System, Farming System, Marketing Strategies for Enhancing the Farmer’s Income in India’ was organized by the department of Agriculture, North East Frontier Technical University (NEFTU) at the university seminar hall here in West Siang district on Wednesday.
Sponsored by the National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD), Itanagar, the seminar was attended by NABARD Itanagar General Manager, Dr Gyanendra Mani, Senior Scientist cum Head, Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR), KVK Basar, Dr Chitrangad Singh Raghav.
In his inaugural address, Dr Gyanendra Mani termed agriculture as the fastest and greatest contributor to the national economy and emphasized the need to tap the vast potential of Aalo region in terms of agriculture activities.
The seminar was also attended by Aalo Agriculture Development Officer, Jarli Yomcha, Vice Chancellor Dr Tejum Padu, NEFTU HoD Agriculture, Dr Lolesh Pegu and West Siang Superintendent of Police, Jummar Basar. (DIPRO)
