ITANAGAR, Feb 3: Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP) crashed out of the 67th BN Mullik All India Police Football Championship 2019 in the pre-quarterfinals, losing 2-3 to former champions West Bengal on Sunday.
APP fought valiantly until the very end, but eventually lost the match to a better and experienced side, conceding a last minute goal, informed the Arunachal Pradesh Football Association (APFA).
Gobenso Drai and Ligang Bungung scored for APP.
It was the first time that APP had qualified for the knock-out round.
Despite the loss, Arunachal Pradesh DGP SBK Singh and APP Sports Control Board Secretary, Commandant B Kamduk, have applauded the team for its commendable performance.
