ITANAGAR, Feb 3: Hectic preparations are underway for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Itanagar on 9 February.
The prime minister is slated to address the public at IG Park, lay the foundation stone for the greenfield airport in Hollongi, and inaugurate the Film and Television Institute of India and the Doordarshan’s 24×7 satellite television channel for the northeastern states, Arun Prabha.
The PM is also supposed to inaugurate the 110 mw Pare hydroelectric project.
This is Modi’s second visit to Itanagar in a span of two years. He had last visited here on 15 February last year, prompting objection from China.
