Election training held

KHONSA, Feb 6: The government employees of Tirap district, who have been drawn for election duties, were imparted election training here on Tuesday.
The first phase of the training was attended by 100 presiding officers and 300 polling officers.
Handbooks were also distributed to the presiding officers.
The second phase of the training will be held on 10 February.
Over 400 government employees will be engaged in election duties in Tirap.
Emphasizing the importance of election training, ERO Hakresha Kri urged all the government employees to abide by the ECI rules and guidelines.
Nodal Officer (EVM), Tirap Nokgen Wangsu conducted demonstrations of EVM and VVPAT.
“VVPAT has been introduced for the first time in the country in addition to EVM. It is a very sensitive electronic machine, and special care should be taken of the machine,” he said.
