NEW DELHI, Feb 12: Arunachal Pradesh Governor BD Mishra advocated establishing song, dance and music centres in every district of Arunachal Pradesh.
“Such centres will provide the youths, the elders and future generations a platform to interact, teach and learn the age-old cultural heritage, besides promoting the talented and god-gifted artists and performers in the field of creative arts,” Mishra said during a meeting with Union MoS (Independent Charge) for Culture, Mahesh Sharma, here on Tuesday.
“I have toured each and every district of the state and interacted with the students, youths, gaon burahs and public. I found them extremely interested in preserving and promoting the indigenous cultural heritage, which is demonstrated by the enthusiasm and passion they have for their songs, dances, music and pantomimes,” the governor said.
The MoS on his part assured to do his best in this regard. (Raj Bhavan).
