ITANAGAR, Feb 14: Governor BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have in separate messages conveyed greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Tamla Du festival of the Mishmi community.
The two expressed hope that the festivities would continue to facilitate the preservation of the age-old indigenous beliefs and cultural ethos of the Mishmi community.
Khandu also called on the Mishmi community to stand united against the menace of drug and opium addiction and to “guide the society on the path of prosperity and development.” (Raj Bhavan and CMO)
