ITANAGAR, Feb 19: The APP team registered an easy win over 138 Bn CRPF in the men’s section of the volleyball tournament organized by the 39th Nyokum Yullo Celebration Committee as part of the festival at the Nyokum Lapang ground here on Tuesday.
They won the match 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.
Nera Techi Volleyball Club came from a set down to beat Tassar Kossum Sporting Club 3-1 (17-25, 25-22, 25-22) in the second match.
The third match in the men’s section of the tournament was won by Tai Nikio Volleyball Club after beating Biki Taba Volleyball Club 2-0 (25-18, 25-19).
In the women’s section, Bamang Ayi Atey, Gungli Welfare Society and Bamang Ayi Atey won their respective matches.
While Bamang Ayi Atey beat Taniang Welfare Society 25-13, 25-17, Gungli Welfare Society beat Nabam Dugne 25-14, 25-14.
Bamang Ayi Atey beat Donyi Polo 25-16 and 25-20.
At Jollang, the 23rd Jollang Nyokum Yullo Volleyball Tournament was kicked off at the Nyokum Lapang on Tuesday.
Three matches were played on the first day.
The first match was played between team Nyijir Ajin and team Hokka Girls (B), which was won by the former 3-0.
In the second match, Team Don Bosco clinched a hard-fought 3-1 win over Hokka Girls (A).
Team Richi won the third and final match of the day, beating Team Hokka (A) 3-1.
