TAWANG, Feb 22: Stakeholders, including officers of the health department, attended a meeting of the district level review & task force for immunization, chaired by Tawang DC Sang Phuntsok here on Friday.
“Tawang has the reputation of being the best performing district. We should continue to maintain this reputation and work collectively to achieve 100 percent immunization in the district. No child should be left without getting immunized,” the DC said.
He asked the school authorities to seek vaccination cards from parents during admission of their wards from the coming academic session.
The DC directed the ICDS and the health department to “collect village-wise data of newborn babies every month to prepare and check, if any, the infant mortality rate and maternal mortality rate of the district.”
DPM Kenli Doje showed the district’s PP plan for immunization, and the problems faced by the health workers in delivering service at their respective facility centres were discussed.
