RUYI, Mar 4: A ‘cutlet site’ which will function as an outlet for selling meat and fish was inaugurated by West Siang DC Swetika Sachan at Ruyu village in Kamba subdivision last Saturday.
The plot for the purpose was donated by one of the village’s residents, Tumpak Nochi.
The DC lauded the initiative of the Kamba unit of NGO Mothers’ Vision and the villagers of Ruyi.
“Selling of meat and fish in front of shops on the main road is never a healthy trend, nor conducive from the sanitation point of view, as it paints a bad picture for the visitors, as Kamba is also a tourist destination,” Sachan said.
Mothers’ Vision chairman Jumde Yomgam Gamlin and HHSU president Liki Nochi, along with the GBs of Kamba and others were present on the occasion. (DIPRO)
