ITANAGAR, Mar 5: Just prior to the assembly and parliamentary elections, the state government in a major reshuffle has transferred several police officials in the state.
Capital Complex SP M Harsha Vardhan has been transferred to Changlang district. Papum Pare SP Tumme Amo will be the new Capital Complex SP, while Romil Baaniya will replace him.
James Kabang Lego is the new Tirap SP, Jitendra Kumar Meena joins as the Upper Siang SP, Guriqbal Singh Sandhu has been made Principal of the Banderdewa PTC, Rajiv Ranjan Singh has been made the Telecom & MT SP, Esha Pandey is now the SP, Crime (PHQ), Tojo Karga is SP, Security & SB, Navdeep Singh Brar is the SIT SP, and Harsh Indora is the new Assistant SP of Tirap.
Meanwhile, Rajender Pal Upadhyay, an AGMUT cadre IPS officer of the 1991 batch, has been transferred to Arunachal Pradesh from Delhi. He is expected to take charge as the new director general of police of the Arunachal Pradesh Police though there is no official confirmation.
