ROING, Mar 12: The Dibang Multipurpose Project (DMP) of NHPC in association with Industrial Training Institue (ITI) here organized a football tournament for the local youths on 9 and 10 March at ITI ground here.
The main purpose of the tournament was to promote youth participation in sports as well as channelize youth energies towards constructive areas.
Four teams participated in the tournament and the teams were Cheta FC, LDV XI, Layu XI and United Dibang XI.
The final match was played between Cheta XI and United Dibang XI, in which the the former defeated the latter 3-0.
Project CGM Biswajit Basu distributed the prizes to the winner and runner-up team.
