PASIGHAT, Mar 16: Agriculture Deputy Director Y J Lego handed over a pick-up truck to the Donyi Sango Farmer Producer Company here in East Siang district on Saturday.
The pick-up truck was purchased under the Mission Organic Value Chain Development (MOVCD) Scheme.
In her address, Lego reiterated that the MOVCD, a CSS scheme, was launched to improve the production of organic farming in the north eastern region of the country.
She also encouraged all organic farmers of the district to work harder and avail benefits provided by the department.
Officers of the Agriculture department, board of directors of Donyi Sango Farmer Producer Company and organic farmers of the district attended the programme.
