AALO, Mar 25: The BJP’s Liromoba mandal president, Bajom Bogo, was reportedly assaulted by a large group of unidentified men at the Hotel Miinta here in West Siang district on Monday evening.
West Siang SP M Riba informed that the incident was reported at around 6 pm on Monday. He said it was informed that around 40 unidentified youths attacked Bogo in a room of the Hotel Miinta.
The youths allegedly took away some valuables and clothing items, as well.
“An FIR was received a couple of hours ago, and we are onto it. It is a grave offence and has to be dealt with strictly,” the SP said, adding that a case has been registered and investigation is underway.
According to reports, Bogo has been referred to a hospital in Assam.
