ITANAGAR, Apr 1: The All Arunachal Contractors’ Welfare Association has urged the chief secretary (CS) to recall the official order for maintaining financial discipline, issued by the CS on 28 March.
The order says all treasuries and sub-treasuries will be closed to government transactions, except for election-related expenditure.
In a representation to the CS, the association claimed that the order has affected many contractors’ cheques, and that they are unable to withdraw money from the banks.
It requested the CS to recall the order in the interest of the contractor community.
