ITANAGAR, Apr 3: A group of unidentified people stopped former cabinet minister Nabam Rebia from attending a BJP campaign rally at Doimukh on Wednesday.
The group burnt a few tyres outside his residence in Senki Park, and several vehicles were placed as barricades to restrict his movement.
However, Rebia informed that he held talks with the protestors and sorted out the matter.
“After analyzing the situation, I decided it was best not to venture out. I also informed the party that I would not be able to join the campaign,” he said.
The police also arrived at the scene and conducted an inquiry.
