ITANAGAR, Apr 7: A whopping Rs 5.943 crore in cash and more than one lakh bottles of various kinds of liquors have so far been seized in Arunachal Pradesh with three days still to go for the elections.
According to a release from the CEO’s office, 101129 bottles of various kinds of liquors, 144 litres of local liquor, arms and ammunition, including 21 12-bore SBBL guns, two .22 rifles, seven .32 revolvers, 30 air guns/pistols and one SBML gun, various types of sharp weapons, including 1240 daos, and 680 sheets of CGI sheets have also been seized.
The seizures were made by the various agencies engaged by the ECI, and the IT department’s sleuths.
