ROING, Apr 10: General observer (GO) Pradeep Kumar Chakrabarty on Wednesday apprised the contesting candidates and poll agents for the Dambuk and Roing assembly constituencies in Lower Dibang Valley district of the restrictions to be followed in the last 48 hours before elections.
Addressing a meeting with the candidates and poll agents, expenditure observer V Balasubramanium, DEO Mitali Namchoom and SP Sunil Kumar Sain, the GO advised everyone to participate in the elections and ensure fair and peaceful polling.
Balasubramanium clarified the doubts raised by the candidates and their agents, while Namchoom presented a brief on the poll day arrangements in the district.
The polling teams for the 73 polling stations in the district have been dispatched to their stations. The teams who had set out on foot to the far-flung areas have reached their polling stations and are prepared for poll day duties. (DIPRO)
