PASIGHAT, Apr 25: A three-member National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) peer team was on a visit to Jawaharlal Nehru College (JNC) here in East Siang district from 22 to 23 April to assess the college for the third cycle of re-accreditation.
The team, comprising former vice chancellor of Kakatiya University (Hanamkonda) Prof Mohd Iqbal Ali, Prof Narpat Singh Sekhawat from Jai Narain Vyas University (Jodhpur), and Pune-based Arihant College of Arts, Commerce & Science’ Principal Dr Raghunath Misal, inspected the facilities in the college and interacted with different stakeholders.
JNC Principal Dr Milorai Modi presented the overall profile of the college, emphasizing on the admission procedure, year-wise student enrollment and examination results, research facilities, departmental activities, students and faculty achievements, research publications, infrastructure facility, etc.
The team also reviewed the facilities available in the college’s laboratories, library, hostels, gymnasium, health centre, etc, among other things.
