VIJAYNAGAR, Apr 26: Assam Rifles Director General (DG), Lt Gen Sukhdeep Sangwan, during his visit here in Changlang district on Friday inaugurated two military civic action (MCA) projects for the villagers.
The DG distributed six mini-tractors to local farmers who were earlier restricted to farming using traditional methods, with no modern agriculture machineries, due to the lack of road connectivity in the area.
The DG also inaugurated a computer centre here to provide and enhance the computing skills of the local youths.
Interacting with the gaon burah and the residents, he gave assurance that the Assam Rifles is committed to help the people of the state, besides ensuring peace and tranquility in the region.
