TAWANG, Apr 29: Counting supervisors, counting assistants and attendants of Tawang district were trained by CO (election) and district level master trainer (DLMT) Tashi Wangchhu here on Monday.
District election officer (DEO) Sang Phuntsok, deputy DEO Dochora Lama, EAC (Election) Sangh Khandhu and other officials were also present at the training, which saw the participation of around 150 counting supervisors, counting assistants and attendants.
After the training, the officers and officials will be engaged on the day of counting of votes, scheduled to be on 23 May.
The DEO commended the participants for their sincere efforts to ensure successful polling in the district.
The DLMT made a PowerPoint presentation on the procedures of counting. He informed that hands-on training in handling the EVMs during counting of votes would be given to all in batches. (DIPRO)
