AALO, May 10: Representatives of the West Siang district administration and police, NGOs, taxi associations and the business community participated in a meeting convened here on 8 May by SDO K Tikhak to review the traffic regulatory measures in Aalo town.
It was decided during the meeting to establish the Tata Sumo taxi terminal at the Siang Transport Cooperative Society’s premises here. It was also decided that an appropriate place would be selected on the town’s outskirts where commercial vehicles like trucks, tractors, Tata Mobiles, pickup vans, buses, etc, can be parked.
Specific timings have also been set for loading and unloading of goods trucks, in order to avoid rush during the peak hours.
It was also decided that ‘no parking’ zones would be identified shortly to avoid haphazard parking in the township. (DIPRO)
