ITANAGAR, May 19: The All Mengio Students’ Union (AMSU) in a memorandum to the secondary education director has demanded immediate posting of senior and experienced mathematics, English and Hindi subject teachers at the government secondary school in Sakiang (Mengio) in Papum Pare district.
The union said the mathematics results of the students have not improved even though the AMSU had “managed” a subject teacher in mathematics for the school on its own.
“Under the CMSSY, a few subject teachers are managed on contractual basis, but they are not enough to bring in desired results,” the union said.
