Please refer to your editorial titled ‘No women in the new cabinet’. In this connection, your concern for a womanless state cabinet is appreciated.
However, if we look at the political history of Arunachal Pradesh, till now no grassroots women political leaders with quality leadership ability have been able to reach the state assembly.
The under representation of women in both the state legislature as well as party ticket allocation proves that the status of women is not that high and healthy as we have been claiming, in comparison with other parts of the country.
