ROING, Jun 17: The education department felicitated the Class 10 and 12 CBSE exams toppers of Lower Dibang Valley district during a function at the DC’s conference hall here on Monday.
Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom gave away medals, certificates and cash awards to the toppers, Delong Modi (90.8%) and Ogam Danggen (88%) of Class 10, Pirgap Lego (86.2%) and Teresa Tayeng (76.2%) of Class 12 (humanities), Thrombo Tayu (77.6%) and Parmita Rani Das (74.8%) of Class 12 (science), and Pilli Linggi (91.8%) and Kritika Sharma (86.4%) of Class 12 (commerce) during the function.
Congratulating the achievers, the DC advised the students to study hard, shoulder their responsibilities sensibly, and “make a mark in this fiercely competitive world.”
BEO O Langkam advised parents to not force their wards into taking subjects based on the marks they scored but instead focus on the interests and desires of the students, as it would make a difference in the students’ performance in the future. (DIPRO)
