Financial literacy counselling camps held

SEPPA, Jun 19: The Seppa branch of the Apex Bank on Tuesday organised financial literacy counselling camps here and in Wessang in East Kameng district.
Apex Bank head office AGM Nabam Tati informed that the state government has allotted several plots of land to the bank to establish head offices and branches in various districts.
He said the bank has been operating “government accounts for PFMS services since 2018.”
“The bank is coordinating with the state government in implementing flagship programmes for unemployed youths, entrepreneurs and farmers, such as NSTFDC, CMPVY, MMPVY, KCC, etc,” he said.
Tati said the bank is also operating on CBS platforms like nationalized banks and provides digital services like NEFT, RTGS/micro-ATM, PoS, digital Kisan Credit Cards, debit cards, etc.
Informing that the state government has sanctioned fund for setting up ATM booths in all the districts in phases, the AGM said the management of the Apex Bank is proposing to install five ATM booths in the first phase.
Responding to the customers’ demand for an ATM booth and SIM se Pay facility at the Seppa branch, the AGM assured to look into the matter.
Earlier, Seppa Apex Bank Branch Manager PC Ngangmu informed that the branch has more than 19,000 account holders, and that it has “stood consecutively as the second highest deposit bank branch among the 37 Apex Bank branches existing in the state for the last three years.” (DIPRO)
