ITANAGAR, Jun 21: The Siyum Nacho Limeking-Taksing Border Area Intellectual Forum of Upper Subansiri district has urged local MLA and Tourism Minister Nakap Nalo to address the matter of the poor performance of the teaching staffs of the area.
In a representation to the minister, the forum claimed that absenteeism and neglect by the teachers have badly impacted the education scenario of the area.
It alleged that many of the teachers visit their respective schools for conducting half-yearly and annual examinations only, adding that the schools’ infrastructures are also dilapidated.
It also said while the school management committees do not carry out their jobs, the local teachers do not follow the schools’ regulations.
