NAMSAI, Jun 22: Namsai MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom has suggested involving gaon burahs, SHGs, women’s groups, headmasters and school students to create awareness in the villages in order to make Namsai a drug-free district.
Addressing a meeting here on Saturday to formulate programmes for observation of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the MLA assured to extend all support in eradicating the drug menace from the district.
Namsai DC Tapasya Raghav, SP Ankit Singh, the DMO, administrative officers, and representatives of community-based organisations and the students’ union of the district also participated in the meeting. (DIPRO)
