ITANAGAR, Jul 1: Members of the Koyu Youth Welfare Society (KYWS), led by its president Karjum Koyu, met the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) general manager here on Monday and placed a request for installation of 3G service in Koyu circle in Lower Siang district.
The KYWS informed the GM that the BSNL tower in Koyu headquarters provides “services only till a certain range, and that, too, without internet.”
It said schools under the CBSE pattern require internet connectivity, while several examinations these days are conducted online and the candidates are left with no choice other than travelling outside the circle for the purpose.
Meanwhile, Nari-Koyu MLA Kento Rina has also written to the BSNL GM, seeking his intervention in the matter.
