JAIRAMPUR, Jul 13: As many as 729 patients, including 300 women, from Jairampur and nearby areas received treatment during a ‘health mela’ organised at the CHC here by the Changlang District Health Society on Saturday, under the Mukhya Mantri Rogi Kalyan Kosh.
Inaugurated by EAC Idam Bagra, the programme offered specialist services in childcare, gynaecology, surgery, etc, under one umbrella, besides free medicines.
The medical team comprised gynaecologist Dr Amin Tayeng, paediatrician Dr Buma Namchoom, surgeon Dr Naku Narang, medicine specialist Dr Duyu Hanang, MO Dr Yanyan Techi and
other officials of the DHS, led by DMO Dr CL Manchey and DRCHO Dr J Ado.
A similar medical camp was also conducted at the PHC in Khimyang on 12 July, which was inaugurated by CO Todak Riba. Over 200 patients from Khimyang and nearby villages benefitted from it. (DIPRO)
