MLA asks HoDs to route proposals through his office

YUPIA, Jul 18: Doimukh MLA Tana Hali Tara on Thursday requested the HoDs of Papum Pare district to route all new proposals of various schemes through his office, so that he could “have a clear picture of all developmental activities being taken up” in his constituency.
Addressing his maiden meeting with the DC, the HoDs and administrative officers here on Thursday, Tara advocated “team spirit for overall development of the district and the state,” and urged the officers to maintain office decorum and ensure effective delivery of services to the public.
He asked all the officers to stay at their places of posting and see that the developmental works are executed properly.
The MLA urged DC Vikram Singh Malik to take up the matter of “streamlining the administrative jurisdictions of Hollongi and Banderdewa, for the greater benefit of the people residing in the fringe areas.”
Expressing concern over the dismal performance of government schools, the MLA urged the DC and the DDSE to take strict action to improve the education scenario in the district.
He informed that he has taken up the proposal for establishing a mini-secretariat here, and sought everyone’s support in the matter. Tara also requested the HoDs to submit their proposals by 25 July for onward submission to the planning department.
The HoDs apprised the legislator of the progress of works on the developmental schemes being implemented by their departments.
