KOLORIANG, Jul 27: A ‘financial literacy-cum-loan mela’ was organised at the PWD indoor stadium here in Kurung Kumey district on Saturday.
DC Santosh Kr Rai asked the individuals and farmers present to avail the schemes provided by the central and state governments to increase their sources of income.
NABARD DDM Mewang Lowang highlighted the schemes under the agri and allied sectors, as well as the procedures to avail the schemes. In a first of its kind event in the district, KCC, WCC and Mudra loans were disbursed on the spot.
Thirteen KCC loans to farmers were disbursed on the spot by the Apex Bank here.
SBI LDM Rajkumar Brahma also spoke.
The SBI, the Apex Bank and the NABARD took part in the programme. (DIPRO)
