AEMA celebrates foundation day

ITANAGAR, Jul 29: The Arunachal Electronic Media Association (AEMA) on Monday celebrated its 8th foundation day at the Arunachal Press Club (APC) here.
Attending the celebration, APC President Dodum Yangfo urged the electronic media community to work harder for the growth of the AEMA.
“There was a time when there was no access or limited access to the internet to provide news; but today you have all the facilities, and you have to avail full advantage of it,” he said.
Acknowledging the growing number of electronic and digital media houses in the state, Yangfo advised maintaining healthy competition.
AEMA founder Taro Chatung expressed appreciation for the efforts of the association’s current executive members, headed by its President Migom Toko, and informed how the AEMA was established, with a handful of journalists working in the electronic section, in 2012.
“Today I am glad to see so many young boys and girls working in the electronic media,” said Chatung.
He also appealed to the state government to support and work out a proper policy for the welfare of the electronic media houses.
