ITANAGAR, Jul 30: Informing that in the NIT No ZRW/Tend/SIDF/2019-20, dated 29 July, 2019, issued by the Ziro (Lower Subansiri) RWD division EE, the earnest money deposit (EMD) has been set at the rate of 2 percent, in place of 1 percent, for local APST contractors, the All Kamle District Contractor’s Welfare Association has requested the RWD’s west zone chief engineer to direct the EE to change the EMD as per the order dated 6 July, 2015, and accept 1 percent earnest money of the estimated cost from local APST contractors.
In a representation to the CE, the association on Monday stated that the state government, vide its Order No SPWD/W-182/2013 (Pt), dated Itanagar, 6 July, 2015, has already issued relaxation/reduction in the rate of the estimated costs instead of the existing 2 percent rate of earnest money in all state government departments, and that the order came into force with immediate effect.
“The last date of NIT dated 29 July, 2019, floated by the EE RWD, Ziro division, is 12 August, 2019. Hence, we urge you to give necessary instructions to the EE to change the EMD as per the government order,” the association said.
