NEW DELHI, Jul 30: Arunachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker PD Sona on Tuesday called on Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla at his office here and discussed various issues pertaining to the Arunachal legislative assembly.
Sona informed Birla regarding the Commonwealth Parliamentarian Association’s (CPA) India Region Zone-III conference, scheduled to be held later this year in Arunachal. He requested Birla to attend the CPA conference as the chief guest, to which the latter consented.
Sona also met Lok Sabha Secretary-General Snehlata Shrivastava, and requested her to help in strengthening his state’s assembly secretariat and training newly elected legislators.
Shrivastava assured to extend all possible help. (PRO)
