NAHARLAGUN, Aug 12: About 40 participants attended an awareness programme on cooperatives organised here by the Arunachal Pradesh State Cooperative Union (APSCU) on Monday.
The programme featured talks on the contribution of cooperatives in creating self-employment opportunities for the people of both urban and rural areas by APSCU CEO Pelbang Tayeng, Education Officer KR Kamki, and retired senior auditor of the cooperation department, DK Dev, as resource persons.
They also spoke about the procedures of registration of cooperatives, and the linkages between SHGs and cooperatives. Various sources of financial assistance from the government and other nodal agencies for the cooperative sector were also highlighted during the programme.
