NAHARLAGUN, Aug 17: Eleven contestants from Arunachal have been selected for the ‘mega audition’ for the North East Idol-2019 contest scheduled to be held in Guwahati (Assam) on 14 September.
The 11 were selected during the state level audition which was organised at a city hotel here on Saturday. Sixty-four contestants from across Arunachal participated in the audition.
The selected candidates will compete with other singers from the Northeast states during the ‘mega audition’ on 14 September.
The state level audition was judged by Jelly Kayi, James Biznoo Nabam and Ashok Tajo Sonam.
“We are providing a platform for talented singers of the state, and through this platform we want to connect all the northeastern states on one platform,” said programme chairperson Nabam Amzi Tajo.
