ITANAGAR, Aug 20: The chief general manager (CGM) of the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd’s (IOCL) Northeast region, Uttiya Bhattacharyya, on Tuesday told Governor BD Mishra that the IOCL would put Arunachal on its “priority list for LPG and other petroleum products coverage.”
Bhattacharyya gave this assurance when he, along with an eight-member team of IOCL officers, called on the governor at the Raj Bhavan here.
Bhattacharyya informed that a record 14 distributorships were commissioned in Arunachal after the governor had written to the union petroleum minister, seeking maximum area coverage in the state.
On his part, Mishra urged the IOCL to “join hands with the government of Arunachal in the provision of people’s amenity like the Pradhan Mantri Ujwala Yojana, etc, in our most strategic frontier state of India.”
He also emphasized on ensuring quality and efficiency in the process. (Raj Bhavan)
