ITANAGAR, Sep 2: The urban ICDS project here launched the Rashtriya Poshan Maah (National Nutrition Month) at the office of the child development project officer (CDPO) on Monday.
CDPO Jaya Taba briefed the attendees on the activities to be carried out during the month-long celebration.
“Door-to-door nutrition campaign, poshan rally, poshan mela, village health and nutrition day, anaemia screening camps, ‘defeat diarrhoea’ campaign, street plays, recipe competition, low-cost recipe demonstration with locally available items, etc, will be organized,” Taba said.
Officials from the converging departments under the Poshan Abhiyan, Itafort PHC MO Dr Kabak Tamar, Chimpu PHC MO Dr Sorang Tabin, and NRLM State Mission Manager Adab Gollo spoke on the importance of the campaign.
The programme was attended by all the anganwadi workers and staff of the project. (DIPRO)
