AALO, Sep 2: The sociology department and the NSS unit of SFS College here in West Siang district conducted an awareness programme on the POCSO Act for school and college students last Saturday.
The programme, which was organised in collaboration with the Women Forum and the women & child development department, saw the participation of students of SFS School, the government secondary school in Pakam, and the Jirdin VKV.
During the programme, advocates Marphy Ete and Kirjum Ete apprised the students of various legal aspects and provisions under the act, while CDPO Bahi Koyu spoke on health and hygiene, and the initiatives under the POCSO Act. (DIPRO)
