ITANAGAR, Sep 21: The Biki Welfare Society (BWS) has demanded that the authorities ensure early arrest of the person responsible for Biki Ruja’s death and erect a statue in Ruja’s memory “to commemorate his sacrifice.”
In a memorandum it submitted to the capital complex deputy commissioner, the BWS on Thursday demanded that the person responsible for Ruja’s death be arrested and handed over to the deceased’s family, that Ruja be declared a “martyr of the anti-PRC movement,” that his burial ground be named ‘martyr ground, that 24 February be declared a holiday in Ruja’s honour, and that a C or D grade government job be provided to the next of kin of the deceased.
