NAHARLAGUN, Sep 24: Doctors from the Ramakrishna Mission Hospital (RKMH), Itanagar, conducted free eye screening camps at Oju Mission School (OMS) in Papu Nallah and at the Oju Welfare Association (OWA) premises here on Tuesday as part of the hospital’s ‘Mission for Vision’ programme.
Besides spreading awareness on eye care, the RKMH team provided medicines for redness, irritation, infections, etc, of the eyes. Some of the patients were referred to the eye OPD for further treatment.
Besides OMS students, the camp benefitted children of the OWA’s child care institution, women of its Swadhar Greh, and OWA staffers.
Altogether 158 persons benefitted from the camp.
