APCS officer Benjamin Panggam passes away

ITANAGAR, Oct 11: Labour & employment undersecretary Benjamin Panggam passed away here on Friday after a brief illness.
An APCS officer of the 2003 batch, Panggam had started his journey in civil service as the circle officer (CO) of Payeng in Upper Subansiri district. He was also posted as CO of Itanagar and Naharlagun, and as EAC of Longding.
The Arunachal Pradesh Civil Service Officers’ Association expressed deep shock over the untimely demise of Panggam. In a condolence message, the association remembered him as “one among the finest officers, and a kind gentleman who always remained committed to his duties during his 16 years of service in various capacities.”
The association expressed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
The association’s Papum Pare district unit also deeply mourned Panggam’s demise. The administrative officers of district headquarters Yupia, led by the DC Pige Ligu, observed a minute’s silence on Friday as a mark of respect to the departed soul, and prayed to the almighty to give strength to the bereaved family to overcome the irreparable loss.
