AALO, Oct 14: A team of the Galo Youth Organization (GYO), which is presently on a drug awareness tour, visited the drug rehabilitation centre at Hiker Gumin, here in West Siang district on Sunday last and interacted with Kennedy Bagra, the centre’s managing authority.
The team expressed its concern over the alarming rise in substance abusers among the youth of the state and appreciated the role played by local NGO, Mothers’ Vision to rehabilitate the addicts.
The GYO was all praises for the recovered drug addicts who are tirelessly working for the cause of addicts on different shifts, and spoke of establishment of a task force consisting of youths to work in tandem with the district administration and police to control flow of abusive substances into the society to contain the growing menace.
