State NPP delegation calls on CM

ITANAGAR, Oct 16: A delegation of the National People’s Party Arunachal Pradesh (NPP-AP), led by its state president Gicho Kabak, called on Chief Minister Pema Khandu here on Wednesday and informed him of the election of Tapuk Taku as NPP Legislature Party leader.
Kabak submitted the copy of the resolution, adopted during the state NPP legislature party meeting, held here on Tuesday in this regard.
The NPP leaders also discussed about the developmental activities initiated under the state government, the Citizenship (amendment) Bill and Chakma-Hajong issues, and appreciated the chief minister for “his dynamism in initiating various developmental activities in the state.”
“The NPP being the major partner of the North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA), with four MLAs in Arunachal Pradesh extends its continued support to the state BJP government for the greater interest of the people of state,” the party said in a release.
Khandu, while congratulating Taku on being elected as the NPPLP leader, assured to accelerate developmental activities throughout the entire state, the NPP informed.
The delegation also called on Legislative Assembly Speaker PD Sona and submitted the resolution of the NPP Legislature Party leader’s election, requesting for separate seating arrangements in the assembly hall.
The delegation included four NPP MLAs, including NPPLP leader Taku and other party leaders.
