TEZU, Oct 23: In all, 2000 saplings were planted alongside the national highway from Tezu Nallah to TCP point (Near Airport) as part of the Green Avenue plantation drive, which was organized by the Lohit Forest Division in collaboration with the district administration and NGOs.
The plantation drive,which began on 23 August last, was initiated by Lok Sabha member Tapir Gao, on the sidelines of a District Infrastructure Scheme Advisory Committee (DISHA) meeting held here earlier.
Lohit Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan, Assistant Commissioner Sunny Kumar Singh, HoDs, Goan Buras and members of NGOs also participated in the drive. (DIPRO)
