Manipuri FC to face Gohpur SC in final
CHIMPU, Oct 24: Manipuri FC will lock horns with Gohpur SC in the final of the 25th Vishwakarma Running Trophy Football Tournament 2019 at the Kendra Vidyalaya No 2 playground here on 27 October.
In the second semi-final played here on Thursday, undefeated Manipur FC knocked-out defending champion Champion FC 3-2 to enter the final.
LM Singh scored the first goal for Manipur FC in the 3rd minute of the match. Toko Tapa and Rupachandra scored the second and third goals in the 16th and 48th minutes of the match for Manipur FC.
Champion FC’s Tame Gungte and Dari Lugu scored a goal each for their team in 28th and 49th minutes of the match.
Rupachandra of Manipuri FC was declared man of the match for the second consecutive time.
Earlier, on Wednesday, Gohpur Sporting Club defeated Chimpu FC 3-2 in the first semi-final of the tournament.
