MOs refresh training on vector borne disease

TEZU, Oct 24: The District Vector Borne Disease Control Programme Office (DVBDCP) conducted training to sensitize doctors on various vector borne diseases and radical treatments, here in Lohit district on 24 October.
The primary motive of the training was to impart knowledge on prevention and control, diagnosis and treatment and other related vector borne diseases, the topic of which was covered by Public Health State Consultant, Dr T Loye as resource person.
However, more emphasis was given on malaria elimination by 2030 as it is framed by the World Health Organization. Accordingly, DVBDCP DPO Dr S Towang spoke on the malarial history of India and national framework of malaria elimination.
The general duty medical officers of ZGH, Tezu and medical officers in charge of all the facilities of Lohit district attended the refresher training.
Later, the training on report returns was given by the district consultant.
Tezu DMO Dr S Chai Pul, Medical Superintendent Dr C Tayang and the DVBDCP DPO of Lohit district also placed their inputs.
